Michael Ong

Michael Ong is the General Manager for Sotflayer Technologies in Asia Pacific. A sales veteran with 20 years of experience in the webhosting, internet and telecommunications industries, Michael is responsible for executing SoftLayer’s sales and operational strategies in Asia Pacific. He manages a team of sales, channels, marketing, network and data centre professionals in the newly launched data centre in Singapore.
Prior to Softlayer, Michael ran his own webhosting business serving the small and medium sized enterprise (SME). He self-funded the new startup and eventually sold the profitable business to a partner before joining Softlayer.
Michael spent 3 years at Savvis Asia Pacific as their Sales Director. He provided cloud computing, dedicated and managed hosting services to Fortune 500 companies operating in Asia Pacific.
In his 8-year tenure at Webvisions, Michael successfully grew its managed hosting business by 350 corporate customers. He managed a team of 20 sales professionals located throughout the Asia Pacific region supporting 20,000 SMEs from over 40 countries.
Before joining Webvisions, Michael was the Senior Sales Manager at UUNET Asia Pacific, where he marketed Internet connectivity services to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in South Asia.
Prior to UUNET, Michael worked at AT&T Singapore, as Senior Sales Manager responsible for sales and marketing of the company’s high-capacity International Private Leased services to ISPs. Michael was actively involved in their Global Account Management programs in Asia-Pacific where he provided data and voice services to multinational corporations in the banking, finance, pharmaceutical, disk drive and petroleum industries.
Michael holds a Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore. He is also a graduate of the Information Communication Institute of Singapore (ICIS), where he specialized in Network Planning and Simulation.

Paul Sumner, Senior Manager, is based in Analysys Mason’s Singapore office. Paul has been with Analysys Mason since 2000 and has worked closely with telecoms operators, media players, regulators, governments and financial institutions across the globe in support of strategic, operational and policy decisions. He has recently provided advised a range of mobile and fixed operators, including the development of a mobile application strategy for a regional mobile operator and advising on market positioning and approach for a new broadband network. He has also recently concluded a project for a regional regulator on the current national status of the adoption of IPv6 and has also advised two governments on the development of national broadband plans to promote the availability and usage of broadband services, including the pros and concs of wireless vs. wired technologies

Robert retired from Accenture at end September 2007. He remains active in the IT industry as a partner in Stream Global (a local venture catalyst), and through his role a member of the national IT Standards Committee, the Singapore Computer Society Exco, and the Technology Committee of the Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI).
Robert is also a member of the boards of OpenNet Pte. Ltd., Alexandra Health Pte. Ltd., Integrated Health Information Systems Pte. Ltd., National Council of Social Service, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, Dover Park Hospice, Singapore Hospice Council, SATA CommHealth, Lien Centre for Social Innovation, and TOUCH Community Services.
Robert Pataki

Mr. Pataki (born in 1971) graduated as an economist from the Corvinus University in Budapest and then completed studies in International Finances and Marketing Management at the University of Erasmus in Rotterdam. He started his career as an investment analyst at Project Finance International Ltd. in The Hague in 1995 and he worked as a financial analyst for Nutricia Netherlands BV in Rotterdam in 1996. He joined Accenture (Andersen Consulting) in 1996 and until 2001 he worked for Accenture’s Strategic Services, first as a strategic consultant, later as a senior manager responsible for the telecommunications and e-commerce sectors. From 2001, he continued his professional career with A.T. Kearney as a dedicated account manager providing consultancy services to leading Hungarian telecommunications companies; later in 2003, he became senior manager of A.T. Kearney’s European Telecommunications Team responsible for major European projects in the field of mobile communications and Internet services. He has been Chief Strategist of Magyar Telekom since September 2006. As of April 1, 2009, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Alternative Businesses and Corporate Development Business Unit by keeping his tasks as Chief Strategist of Magyar Telekom as well. Due to organizational changes within the company, he has worked as Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer from September 2009.

Simon West leads and oversees all marketing responsibilities, including corporate branding, competitive positioning, awareness and demand generation, sales enablement, analyst and public relations, market intelligence and segmentation, and marketing operations. Prior to joining SoftLayer, Mr. West served as Chief Marketing Officer for Terremark Worldwide, where his responsibilities included global marketing and brand management. Previously, Mr. West spent 11 years with Data Return, where he was part of the initial four-person start-up team and played an instrumental role in taking the company through initial business planning, product definition and systems development, through the planning and execution of an Initial Public Offering. Mr. West holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Steve Lee Hee Kwang

Steve is currently the CIO and Senior Vice President, Technology at Changi Airport Group. His responsibilities includes: IT project management, operations and support, architecture and strategy for both airport operations and Corporate IT systems. Prior to joining CAG, Steve was the CIO at Kuok (Singapore) Ltd, a company with businesses in trading, shipping, logistics and other businesses across the region. He spent his earlier years in the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) where he held the post of Deputy Director, MINDEF CIO Office before leaving to join the private sector.
Steve is also currently the Treasurer of the IT Management Association (ITMA), Singapore and on the Advisory Committees of the Temasek Polytechnic, Informatics & IT School and Singapore Management University School of Information Systems. Steve is also a council member of the Singapore IT Standards Committee.
Steve completed the Stanford-NUS Executive Programme In International Management; as well as the Advanced Management Programme at the National Defence University, USA. As an undergraduate, he was trained as a mechanical engineer at NUS and his postgraduate education was in operational analysis at the Naval Postgraduate School, California, USA.
Steve is married to Julie and has a son, Marcus, 16 and a daughter, Melissa, 10. He likes to play soccer, and jog. Occasionally he will dabble into golf when time permits.
Tao Yao Sing

Yao Sing is an Assistant Director at the National Grid Office of Infocomm Development Authority (iDA) of Singapore where he is responsible for the development of Cloud Security Standards and Guidelines. He also leads in the development and promote the use of Cloud Infrastructure and Services. Prior to his current engagement, he has worked as a Vice President in a local bank for more than 10 years in overseeing the design and implementation of security infrastructure, particularly in ID Management and authentication services, both locally and regionally. He received his BE degree with first class honors at University of Singapore and a MSc in Engineering from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He is a certified IT PM, member of SCS and also certified Quality Analyst of Quality Assurance Institute of America.

Currently CTO of the Webvisions Group, Peter is a senior management professional with extensive knowledge of global business, managing real-time transaction processing and large data centre environments. He has extensive international experience in senior management and leadership roles with large UK companies based in the USA, with expertise in outsourcing, technical leadership, relationship, and data centre management.
Peter’s last career experience was with TravelPort Corp, Denver, USA as the Vice President of Operations and Service Delivery. He has a Master of Science, Computer Information Systems and Networking Technologies and a Bachelor of Science, Computer Information Systems and Computer Networking, from Regis University, Denver, CO, USA.
Now based in Singapore, Peter has worked in our New Zealand office for the last year implementing a cloud technology platform.
Raju Chellam

Raju Chellam is considered one of the early thought leaders in the field of cloud computing. He was a member of the Singapore Government’s National Cloud Advisory Panel and is currently President of the BCG (Business Continuity Group) at the Singapore Computer Society (SCS), which has a membership of 27,000 ICT professionals in Singapore. The BCG is the largest chapter within SCS & includes data center optimization, disaster recovery, and data security/compliance. Raju is also on the Executive Committee of the Cloud Chapter at the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) & a Life Member of the Singapore Press Club.

Chris BOESCH has more than 16 years experience working in the technology industry for companies such as Texas Instruments, Acer, and Dell. During his career, he has received numerous awards for business process innovation and has filed 16 patents for software and hardware innovations. Chris is currently an Associate Professor of Information Systems (Practice) at Singapore Management University where he teaches courses on Cloud Computing, Software-as-a-Service, and Software Engineering.
Chris has considerable experience in the areas of architecture, design, and building globally scalable applications. Chris is a hands on pioneer who is passionate about the evolution of cloud computing and its potential to enhance the field of education. He received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University. Chris' research interests include expert systems, cloud computing, and applying game dynamics in the field of education.

Gregory Ouillon

Gregory Ouillon was appointed in early 2011 to lead the SITA Cloud Programme. He has responsibility for all internal and external activities required for the fast and long lasting establishment of SITA as the provider of Cloud Infrastructure and of an extensive portfolio of Cloud services dedicated to the Air Transport Industry.
Greg joined SITA in 2006 to drive Product Innovation and Portfolio Management, initially for Communication Services and most recently across all five Solution Lines of SITA as Vice President Portfolio Management & Consulting.
Prior to this, Greg held several executive positions at SITA, Orange Business Services and Equant, providing him with a broad experience in Innovation, P&L Management, Product Development & Portfolio Management as well as Communications & Infrastructure Engineering.
A French national, he holds an Executive Engineering Masters in Telecommunications from Telecom ParisTech. He is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland.
